Guides and Tutorials
MSU Libraries offer many guides and tutorials to aid you in your search for information. Check out the ones you believe will be the most helpful.
Course Guides
Course Guides provide information and links to resources that are especially useful for a particular course at MSU. You can search for guide by course title, department, or professor as well as from a list.
- Use these when looking for help with a particular course's assignment.
Getting Started Guides
Getting Started Guides are intended to point you to the primary index(es) you need to find articles on a topic. It is not a complete list of sources for any subject.
- Use these if you just need to know the KEY resources to get started.
Research Guides
Research Guides are tools created by MSU Librarians that provide lists of resources and search strategies for finding information on specific subjects. These lists are more extensive than the Getting Started Guides.
- Use these for more complete coverage of a topic.
Tutorials
Tutorials are short videos that show you how to find articles and other resources at MSU Libraries.
- Watch these videos if you're having trouble searching or locating an article, book, or primary source.
